A dedicated cheese corner at the Bologna-Empoli game

During the Bologna FC-Empoli FC game on Sunday October 1st, football enthusiasts and lovers of good food had the opportunity to taste Cathedral City cheddar against the stunning backdrop of the Bernardini terrace at the Renato Dall’Ara stadium. The match was full of surprises and was accompanied by a delicious brunch. The atmosphere and excitement surrounding the event made the occasion even more special.

During the pre-match brunch, a “Cathedral City corner” was set up, where the cheddar cheese was presented in carefully selected combinations to enhance the best characteristics of this product.

Different combinations

Savory waffles with cheddar and salami were the perfect brunch choice, offering a combination of crispy and creamy textures that delighted everyone’s taste buds.

The pairing of cheddar and grapes was the most unique, but also the most appreciated: the sweet and savoury flavours were in perfect harmony and offered a delicious gastronomic experience.

Cheddar and Prague ham was a flavour explosion: the richness of the ham paired perfectly with the creaminess of the cheddar.

Even the vegetable meatballs with cheddar cheese were a great success. The cheese added a touch of flavour and extra texture to the meatballs, making them even more delicious.

Guests also had the opportunity to taste Cathedral City Mature cheddar in “pure” block form. Its simplicity was very much appreciated, surprising consumers who typically do not associate cheddar with such an authentic taste.
