Atlante Brings Organic Italian Tomatoes to Canada in Partnership with Marchés Tau

Atlante is pleased to announce the expansion of its footprint in the Canadian market through a new strategic partnership with Marchés Tau—a long-established supermarket chain in Montreal since 1978, renowned for its commitment to organic, natural, and premium-quality products.
Established in 2024, this collaboration has led to the development of a comprehensive line of tomato-based products, crafted entirely in Italy and introduced to the Canadian market under the TAU brand—Marchés Tau’s own private label. This marks Atlante’s first private label venture in Canada and represents a significant milestone in our ability to deliver tailored, high-quality projects to international partners with a strong emphasis on provenance and ingredient integrity.

Marchés Tau was founded with a clear mission: to offer wholesome, sustainable, and environmentally conscious food choices. From the outset, it has earned the trust of Canadian consumers by curating its offering from suppliers who share the same commitment to wellness and sustainability.

The TAU product line stems from a meticulously monitored supply chain—beginning with the cultivation of 100% Italian organic tomatoes and continuing through a production process that preserves their authentic flavour, nutritional quality, and freshness.
Two Product Lines, One Philosophy: Quality and Authenticity
The new TAU range features eleven organic references, grouped into two primary categories:
Organic Sauces: Tomato & Basil, Arrabbiata, Aubergine, Marinara, Pizza Sauce, Puttanesca, Tomato Tomato Derivatives: Passata, Diced Tomatoes (two formats), Whole Peeled Tomatoes (two formats)
Each product is made exclusively with Italian-grown organic tomatoes and carefully selected ingredients, meeting the expectations of consumers who prioritise origin, nutritional value, and sustainability. With premium positioning and a clear identity, the line integrates seamlessly into Marchés Tau’s curated in-store selection.
